to reports, a 22 yr old Ndifreke Joseph Clement who was being disturbed
by traumatic experiences and guilty conscience surrenders himself and
confesses he kills his 23 yr old cousin, Ubong Edet to the Police six(6)
months after the murder.
Clement, who's a native of Akon Itam, Itu Local Govt. Area, Akwa Ibom State who allegedly handed himself to the police at Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, said "He cut off his cousin's throat after beating him to coma because Edet his cousin slept with his Girlfriend in August 2015.
He continued "I can't really remember the exact date it happened but i know it's a night in August 2015 in the one room apartment we both shared. I just came back from work , i knocked the door no one answered i waited more than Five(5) minutes before Edet my cousin came to open the door, when i went in i saw my girlfriend sobbing blood gushing out from her nose.
Then i asked her what happened and she told me my cousin Edet beat, hit and forcefully had sex with her. But after Edet had opened the door for me he ran out and came back very late at night.
I then confronted him about what he did to my girlfriend, he punched me instead then i retaliated and we started fighting, we fought for long before i could subdue him, i then use my butchering knife to cut his throat, then carried his dead body to a nearby bush and threw the knife into a pit toilet. "Am here not because anyone knew i killed him, i have come to plead for forgiveness because since i killed Edet my cousin, have always been thinking of the incident and my mind has been disturbed whenever i thought about him.
